Turn Fear into Fabulous

Fear. We all have it. Most of us hate it. Some of us are crippled by it. I am talking about the annoying little voice in our heads we often hear just as we are about to make a life change or take a risk. Many times this fear makes us tuck our heads back into our shell and continue on the same mundane life path.

I am not saying all risks are smart and should be taken regardless of your fear. What I’m saying is all changes come with some anxiety and fear of the unknown or new. In order to grow as a person and evolve into a happier, more fulfilled version of yourself, you have to find the fabulous in your fear.

In order to grow as a person and evolve into a happier, more fulfilled version of yourself, you have to find the fabulous in your fear.

I recently came out of the closet as a bisexual woman to the world. I was terrified. Do you know what I feel now? Relieved and happy.

I left a very toxic relationship that had so much at stake – children, my home, finances, friends. I was so afraid of change. I was afraid to leave. But I did. Do you know what I feel now? Peace and happiness.

I am pursuing my dream of helping others with Work And Play With Jamie Joyce. Yes, I am afraid to fail, but I know I am worth the risk. Do you know what I feel know? Energized, excited, and happy!

Do you see a pattern here? Do not give fear the upper hand. Instead, use it as motivation to do better for yourself. A little anxiety can actually be used as a motivational tool for you to achieve some great things. Imagine a large bubble. This bubble is where you live. You can not see through this bubble, but on the other side there is an entire world of possibilities if you’d only be willing to pop this bubble and embrace the fear it took you to do this.

“If you run from your fears, they will follow you. If you run straight at your fears, they will get the hell out of the way. Fears hate it when you do that.”

– Jen Sincero
