10 Ways to Spend a Fall Day Filling Your Soul
- Go to a Pumpkin Patch.
Enjoy and afternoon picking out a perfect pumpkin. Pumpkin patches are also a cool spot for a little photo shoot. If you’re feeling really adventurous, treat yourself to a pumpkin spiced late on your way home!
- Apple picking!
Take a little picnic to enjoy among the trees, and spend the afternoon filling up your bags with different kinds of apples. If you are the baking type finish your day using your apples to bake a sweet treat like apple crumple.
- Go for a walk on a wooded trail.
What better way to enjoy the changing leaves! There is something about the leaves changing that really helps the soul. It’s sort of a bitter sweet cross between the end of summer and the beginning of a new season.
- Visit a corn maze.
Let loose and have a little fun. You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a good old challenge of making it to the end of a maze. If you’re like me and into the Halloween season, try a haunted corn maze.
Who says you can only kayak in the summer? Dress warm and get out on a lake or a river. The trees will take your breath away. Pack a little snack and make a stop or two to soak up all of the beauty.
- Cuddle up on a beach with warm blankets and a warm drink.
Beaches usually only get credit in the summer for being a great spot to go, but as long as you dress for it, the beach can be the all year long therapy you need. There is nothing like hearing crashing waves to sooth your soul.
- Go for a scenic drive.
I am a huge fan of old country roads. I absolutely love seeing old barns and farmland in the fall. So beautiful.
- Decorate for thanksgiving.
Why leave all of the beauty outside of your home? Get festive, it’s good for your soul.
- Cook some soul food.
Spend the day making your favorite hearty dishes and have a dinner party.
- Go to your favourite outdoor spot with a yoga mat or blanket.
Bring your headphones and chill out listening to relaxing music. I love meditating in the sunshine.
If you listen hard enough your soul will tell you what it needs. Now go on and enjoy this fall day!
