Inspirational Books That Have Changed My Life

I have been on a journey to discover the best version of myself for the past several years. Throughout this process, I have had to dig deep and commit to making myself the number one priority in my life. I have faced my share of demons and put in the time and effort to find my authentic self. I have to say, I am worth the work!

If you are ready to start living your best life and form a deeper connection to your true self, and maybe even discover your purpose, I recommend reading the following books – they have changed my life!

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Big Magic was the first of many inspirational books I read that gave me the push to tap into my creativity and realize I am talented, and that I have so much to offer this world. Using my creative side allows me to share my love of life and my passions with the world. This book also was the gateway for me to examine what was holding me back from living the life I want.

“The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them”.

I encourage you to find your jewels and read this book!

Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

This book was exactly what I needed at a tough time in my life. This book allowed me to dream big again, and to not take no for an answer when it comes to achieving my goals. This book is simply written so that all women feel connected and supported by Rachel, who is an authentic, self-=made power house. Rachel Hollis is one of my biggest inspirations. I am so glad I washed my face!

“The truth? You and only you, are ultimately responsible for who you become and how happy you are.”

You Are A Badass by Jenn Sincero

This one takes a deep dive into getting the most out of life and kicking fear to the curb. Each chapter adds value to the inspirational messaging. This book reignited a fire I had in my soul to dig deep and carve out my own path and follow my dreams for ME! Jenn Sincero also has a mini version of this book that I loved just as much called You are a Badass Everyday. It gives bite sized chunks of wisdom and motivation daily in a quirky, funny way.

“If you are serious about changing your life you will find  way. If you’re not you’ll find and excuse.”

Come be a badass with me!

The Happiness Project
by Gretchen Ruben

Gretchen’s book is an awesome way to incorporate happiness into all aspects of life, even the boring mundane stuff. This book inspired me to see life’s little joys. It helped me see that happiness really comes from within, and that it is a choice we make daily.

“The fun part doesn’t come later; now is the fun part.”

Sarah focuses on practices such as meditation and gratitude, as well as simplicity and embracing life’s small joys. I stumbled upon this book in a library and I feel it was ahead of its time in 1995.
